Volunteer Community First Responders on the Meath coast
About Meath Coast CFR
We are a voluntary group of Community First Responders based in Bettystown, Co. Meath, dedicated to saving lives in our community. Since our establishment in 2012, we have been working alongside the National Ambulance Service (NAS), responding to life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, stroke, and chest pain. We have been on the scene within minutes, making a critical difference where it counts.
In addition to emergency response, we install and maintain defibrillators across East Meath, ensuring quick access to lifesaving equipment. We also train members of the community to improve the chain of survival, empowering people with the skills to act in an emergency. We liaise with local community groups to raise awareness and strengthen our collective response to medical emergencies.
Our coverage area includes Laytown, Bettystown, Julianstown, Colpe/Grangerath, and Donacarney, serving a large and growing population.
